By accessing or using UniHub Carpool ("the Service"), operated by UniHub Tech Inc., you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Our platform connects students and professionals for safe, affordable carpooling and shuttle services. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

UniHub Carpool provides a community-driven platform for:

  • Carpooling: Connect with verified riders and drivers for shared rides to campus, airport, and city-to-city trips
  • Shuttle Services: Scheduled transportation between universities and popular destinations
  • Community Features: Rate drivers, leave feedback, and build a trusted community
  • Student Verification: Enhanced safety through college email verification

3. User Accounts & Registration

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Verifying your student status or professional credentials when requested
  • Notifying us of any unauthorized account access

4. Carpooling Conduct & Safety

All users must:

  • Treat all riders and drivers with respect and courtesy
  • Comply with traffic laws and vehicle safety regulations
  • Maintain a safe and clean vehicle
  • Communicate clearly about pickup times, locations, and routes
  • Cancel rides with reasonable notice (at least 2 hours when possible)
  • Not engage in unsafe or reckless driving
  • Not use intoxicating substances while driving
  • Share ride costs on a non-profit, cost-sharing basis only

Prohibited Conduct:

  • Commercial transportation activities are strictly prohibited
  • No harassment, discrimination, or offensive behavior
  • No false or misleading information about vehicle condition or driver experience
  • No unauthorized collection of personal information
  • No spam or unsolicited contact outside the platform

5. Pricing & Payment

UniHub Carpool operates on a cost-sharing basis. Users share expenses such as fuel and tolls on a non-profit basis. By using our platform, you agree:

  • All transactions are between riders and drivers directly
  • UniHub does not process payments or guarantee rates
  • Prices must be communicated clearly before accepting a ride
  • Payment methods (cash, Venmo, etc.) should be agreed upon in advance
  • No commercial charges or excessive markups are permitted

6. User Reviews & Ratings

Our review system helps maintain community safety and accountability. You agree to:

  • Rate users fairly and honestly based on your experience
  • Not post false, defamatory, or retaliatory reviews
  • Report concerns directly to our support team rather than through the platform
  • Understand that extremely low or high ratings may trigger platform review

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. UniHub Tech Inc. does not:

  • Guarantee the reliability, safety, or quality of rides
  • Verify the accuracy of driver or passenger information
  • Assume liability for accidents, injuries, or property damage
  • Guarantee driver background checks or vehicle inspections

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UniHub Tech Inc. shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Injuries or property damage during rides
  • Disputes between riders and drivers
  • Loss or theft of personal belongings
  • Actions or inactions of other users

9. Termination & Account Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for:

  • Violations of these Terms of Service
  • Unsafe or illegal behavior
  • Repeated complaints from other users
  • Attempting commercial transportation activities
  • Any other reason at our sole discretion

Suspended or terminated users will lose access to the platform immediately.

10. Compliance with Laws

All users must comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding:

  • Vehicle operation and safety regulations
  • Insurance requirements
  • Transportation licensing (if required in your region)
  • Non-commercial, cost-sharing nature of carpooling

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
