Cookies
A cookie is a small piece of data stored on your device containing information about your session. Usage of a cookie on Verdride is not linked to any personally identifiable information on its own.
We use cookies to:
- Keep you logged in and avoid repeated password entry, saving you time while using the platform.
- Track and understand how Members use our Service in order to improve features and performance.
- Remember your preferences and settings across sessions.
Security
Verdride and Next Earth Technologies LLC take every precaution to protect our Members' information. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect personal information both during transmission and once we receive it, including the use of SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption for sensitive data.
While no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we continuously work to apply the best available safeguards to your data. We will make any legally required disclosures of any breach of the security, confidentiality, or integrity of your personal data to you via email or a conspicuous posting on the Service in the most expedient time possible.
Safety & Compliance with Law
Verdride may disclose your information to courts, law enforcement, governmental authorities, or authorized third parties if and to the extent we are required to do so by law, or if such disclosure is reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with legal process and respond to claims asserted against Verdride.
- Respond to verified requests relating to a criminal investigation or alleged illegal activity that may expose us, you, or other users to legal liability.
- Enforce and administer our Terms of Service or other agreements with Members.
- Support fraud investigation and prevention, risk assessment, customer support, and product development.
- Protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Verdride, its employees, Members, or the public.
Notice to Members
We will attempt to notify you about legal requests for your data unless:
- Providing notice is prohibited by law, court order, or applicable regulation.
- We believe that providing notice would be futile, ineffective, or create a risk of injury, harm, or fraud against Verdride, its Members, or the Service.
Where we comply with legal requests without providing notice, we will attempt to notify the affected Member after the fact if we determine in good faith that we are no longer legally prohibited from doing so and that no risk scenarios apply.

Service Updates
We will send service announcement updates to Members by email. These announcements contain important information about the Verdride platform — such as changes to features, policies, or your account — and Members are not able to unsubscribe from them.
We communicate with Members via email to provide requested services and to address issues relating to their account. These communications are a necessary part of operating a safe and functional carpooling platform.
Opt-Out
Members who no longer wish to receive our newsletter or promotional communications may opt out of receiving these emails at any time by selecting the unsubscribe link found at the bottom of any such email.
Please note that opting out of promotional emails does not affect the delivery of essential service announcements, booking confirmations, or account-related communications, which are required for the proper functioning of your Verdride account.
Account Cancellation
At any point, Members can cancel their Verdride account by either:
- Navigating to Edit Profile → Delete Account within the app or website.
- Contacting our support team directly
Upon requesting cancellation, your account will be flagged as inactive and scheduled for deletion within a discretionary time period. During this period, you may reactivate your account if you change your mind.
Notification of Changes
If we make any changes to this Privacy Policy, we will email a link to the updated policy to all registered Members so that you are always aware of:
- What information we collect.
- How we use that information.
- Under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was originally collected. If we intend to use your information in a manner materially different from what was stated at the time of collection, we will notify you by email and provide you with an opportunity to opt out.
